The Music Makers’ provides a useful platform for locally-based musicians, with an annual programme of around eleven separate musical events. These are presented in an imaginative and accessible format, suitable for all those interested in classical music

All events are held at Crediton Congregational Church, which is an attractive venue, equipped with a modern Welmar grand piano. The venue enjoys comfortable chairs, and has a useful foyer area for refreshments. The modernised building can accommodate 100-150 people, either downstairs or in the gallery above

. There is level disabled access to downstairs areas via path to rear door.

There are 4 evening concerts during the year, held quarterly on Saturday evenings at 7pm. With interval, these are around 2 hours’ duration. There are also 6 individual 40-minute recitals by invited performers on Tuesdays & Wednesdays in three consecutive weeks in August, each starting at 1.10pm. A New Year’s Day Concert, featuring accomplished young players (8-18), is at 3pm on 1st January. All are welcome

Doors are open for refreshments half an hour before each event. Admission is £7 for evening events, and £5 for the New Year’s Day concert. Tickets in advance are not available – just turn up! The Summer Recitals are free, but donations are welcomed

The Music Makers’ is grateful to Crediton Town Council for its generous support for our free events, and also to Stapletons chartered accountants in Crediton, who support Concerts at Crediton Congregational Church during 2017.
